Made to Order

My best customer (aka mother-in-law) recently asked me to make a onesie and fabric basket to match this bootie and bib set. Since I had leftover fabric, I made this little set to order. She's my best customer, after all! :)

I had fun making up my own pattern for the basket. It uses the same basic construction as a basket I've made before, but this one is quilted, so it's studier. I also used strips of fabric pieced together, instead of squares, and I made it larger. This one will be perfect for holding baby toys, diapers, or whatever the new mom needs it for.

Back to Booties

I found this adorable Japanese fabric with tiny little trains on it. I thought I had bibs and booties out of my system, but doesn't this print just beg to be made into cuteness for little baby boys?
I don't have any infants arriving in my life, but maybe you do. In that case, these are now in my shop. If you want to make your own, the booties are made from a pattern by weepereas on etsy, and they are reversible! The alphabet print I used to back the bib is from American Jane's new line, Punctuation.

Another Baby Gift Set

I've got a baby shower to attend on Saturday. The challenge - a gender neutral gift since the parents are not finding out the sex of the baby. I found this cute sheep Kokka Trefle fabric, and it pairs nicely with this herringbone print from Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow. This print goes with so many things!

For My Nephew

Here are the items, sewn with love, heading over the ocean to my sweet nephew. I can't wait to see him!The sweet little booties are made with a great pattern by Beth of weepeareas. She is selling a DIY kit in her etsy shop, so I got not only the pattern but precut booty pieces in this adorable Japanese fabric! She even included a bonus set of pieces to make a pratice pair of booties. The best part is that these booties have no exposed seams and are reversible! Cool, huh.And keeping with my recent trend of making two of everything, you can find a nearly identical doggy baby boy gift set in my shop, if you need an extra special gift!
