I finished quilting my Metro Link, and now I'm trying to find the right fabric for binding. I don't usually have trouble picking a binding fabric, but with the scrappiness of this quilt, the best choice has been less than obvious. Hmm. I auditioned prints, but I think a solid is a better way to go on this one. Coal? Or azure?
Maybe brown, but it doesn't look as good with the back.
The backing is the black and white print.
Azure gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteAnd coal gets mine!
ReplyDeleteI vote for the azure, as well. Wonder what a crazy color like purple would be like?
ReplyDeleteI think Coal, definitely.
ReplyDeleteI am the minority...all for the brown.
ReplyDeleteI love the azure.
ReplyDeleteLove love love the azure! Totally pops, and makes the scrappy colors pop.
ReplyDeleteI think the coal and brown are too somber. I like the azure.
ReplyDeleteI like the coal the best... :)
ReplyDeleteAzure gets my vote, i agree with Kirsten, it pops!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is incredible! I like the azure, but I like Carla's suggestion and if you have a purple would like to see what how that looks.
ReplyDeleteI know it wasn't one of your choices but I'd go with ash (if that's the background color). It won't distract from the pattern.
ReplyDeleteI like the azure, but I think a purple or even yellow would look really good!
ReplyDeleteAzure!
ReplyDeleteI like coal, it let's the quilt be the star.
ReplyDeletewhat about a black binding or a black and white pin dot...
ReplyDeleteout of the coal or azure I'd go with the latter..
I say pink!
ReplyDeleteI also vote for azure. I think it makes the scrappy fabrics POP.
ReplyDeleteWhat about navy? I'm on a navy kick lately.
